This popular tamper mat is now made of 5 mm thick silicone, which is increased to a full 8 mm in the edge to ensure even more stability and cleanliness when tamping. The 90° fold on the front allows you to place the mat securely on the edge of a table or counter.
The mat protects your bench from the sharp spouts of your portafilter, and protects the edge of the counter which is often used by baristas for tamping. It also protects the table from the hard tamper.
