Machine Ltd services and repairs VBM (Vibiemme) espresso machines across Auckland. From the Domobar Junior to the dual boiler Double Domobar, VBM's E61-group home machines are known for their build quality, and with regular servicing they last for decades. Common VBM faults we fix
- Leaking group head: worn group gaskets or shower screens, which should be replaced regularly.
- Stiff or leaking E61 group lever: worn cam and group valve seals, which need lubricating or rebuilding.
- Brew temperature too hot or drifting: scale in the boiler or heat exchanger, a pressurestat that needs adjusting, or a PID or probe fault on electronic models.
- Leaking or stiff steam valves: worn valve seals that need rebuilding.
- Hissing or dripping when heating up: a worn vacuum breaker or safety valve.
- Noisy pump or low pressure: a worn pump, or the pressure setting needs adjusting.
How often should a VBM be serviced?
For most home users we recommend a service every 12 to 24 months, depending on use and water hardness. A service replaces group gaskets and shower screens, checks for scale, rebuilds worn valves, and checks pressure and temperature.
Service pricing
All prices exclude GST unless stated. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
- On-site labour: $109 per hour (30 minute minimum)
- Standard call-out: $109 (includes travel within 20 km)
- Emergency call-out: $163.50 – a technician on site within 2 hours, guaranteed
- After hours (weekdays 6–8am and 6–8pm, weekends and public holidays): $163.50 per hour and $163.50 call-out
- Travel beyond 20 km: $1.04 per km
Parts are quoted separately. Home machines are serviced at our Wairau Valley workshop, with home servicing from $420 incl GST.
Where we service
We cover all of Auckland from our workshop at Unit 8, 101 Diana Drive, Wairau Valley, including the CBD and central suburbs, the North Shore, and West and South Auckland. We also travel to Waikato, Northland, Whangārei and Tauranga, with travel charges.

Do you service VBM (Vibiemme) machines?
Yes. We service and repair VBM machines, including the Domobar Junior, Domobar Super and Double Domobar, and older Vibiemme models too.
Can I bring my VBM to your workshop?
Yes. Home machines are serviced at our workshop at Unit 8, 101 Diana Drive, Wairau Valley, with home servicing from $420 incl GST. We'll quote before starting any extra work.
Do you use genuine VBM parts?
We use genuine VBM parts or factory OEM equivalents.
My Domobar's group lever is stiff. Is that a big job?
Usually not. A stiff E61 lever normally needs the cam lubricated and the group seals replaced, which is a routine part of a service.
