Machine Ltd is the only Slayer Espresso distribution partner in New Zealand. We supply, install and service Slayer machines, from single group Espressos in home kitchens to three group Steam LPs on the busiest café bars, so your Slayer is looked after to factory standard by the team that knows it best.

Why service your Slayer with the NZ distributor?

  • Genuine Slayer parts. As Slayer's NZ distribution partner, we source original Slayer parts directly. We keep common Slayer service parts in stock in Auckland.
  • Slayer-trained technicians. Our technicians are trained by Slayer. Slayer machines are different inside from most espresso machines, with an individual brew tank per group, needle-valve flow control and electronic steam valves, and they need a technician who knows them.
  • Programming and set-up. We set up and adjust pre-infusion, flow and volumetric programming, and carry out software updates.
  • Warranty repairs. Slayer machines supplied by Machine Ltd come with a 24 month warranty from the date of sale, and our technicians carry out the warranty repairs.

Common Slayer faults we fix

  • Leaking group head: worn group gaskets or shower screens, which are routine service parts.
  • Flow or pre-infusion not behaving as set: a needle valve that needs cleaning or adjusting, scale restricting flow, or programming that needs resetting.
  • Brew temperature drifting: scale in a brew tank, or a faulty temperature probe or controller on one group.
  • Weak or inconsistent steam: scale in the steam tank, a blocked steam tip, or an electronic steam valve fault.
  • Inconsistent volumetric shots: usually a flowmeter issue, or scale affecting water flow.
  • Pump pressure problems: a pump or pressure regulator that needs adjusting or servicing.

How often should a Slayer be serviced?

For most cafés we recommend a preventative service every 6 to 12 months, depending on volume. A service replaces wear parts such as group gaskets and shower screens, checks each brew tank and the steam tank for scale, and checks pressure, temperature and flow on every group. Good water filtration makes a big difference to how long a Slayer runs trouble-free.

Service pricing

All prices exclude GST. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

  • On-site labour: $109 per hour (30 minute minimum)
  • Standard call-out: $109 (includes travel within 20 km)
  • Emergency call-out: $163.50 – a technician on site within 2 hours, guaranteed
  • After hours (weekdays 6–8am and 6–8pm, weekends and public holidays): $163.50 per hour and $163.50 call-out
  • Travel beyond 20 km: $1.04 per km

Where we service

We cover all of Auckland from our workshop at Unit 8, 101 Diana Drive, Wairau Valley, and service Slayer machines in Waikato, Northland, Whangārei and Tauranga with travel charges. Wherever you are in New Zealand, we support Slayer owners with training and over-the-phone technical support.

Can you service a Slayer I didn't buy from you?

Yes. We service all Slayer machines, wherever they were bought, including second-hand and privately imported machines.

What warranty do Slayer machines have?

Slayer machines supplied by Machine Ltd have a 24 month warranty from the date of sale. Warranty repairs are carried out by our Slayer-trained technicians.

Do you use genuine Slayer parts?

How long does a Slayer service take?

A preventative service on a 2 group machine usually takes 2 to 3 hours on site. The machine can't be used while we work, so we're happy to book early mornings or quieter times.
